Samsung has started rolling out the January 2024 security update, and this time this security patch addresses the Galaxy Z Fold 6 , Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition in Korea. The update identified by the F741NKSS2AYA3 , F956NKSS2AYA3 and F958NKSS2AYA3 respectively build numbers in SK, however, it has just started, and it will be soon available for other regions.

It is spotted on community post, the update comes with 400MB in size, and it fixes over 50 privacy exploits in the Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 devices. Beside it, for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 SE, the update fixes 54 vulnerabilities, including Google and Samsung library issues, and comes with a 360MB size.

Additionally, the update includes many improvements to enhance the performance of the devices, and it also brings stability to the system app. Along with this, the security patches mend the security system and clear the unwanted bugs and hidden issues. Also, it protects from malware and unhealthy bloatware that cause hanging and lagging performance of the device.

How to Update

  • Go to the setting
  • Click on Software update
  • Tap On Download and install
  • Get update and Download
  • Restart the device

However, it is the second January 2025 update that rolled out to the Galaxy Z Fold 6 series in SK; and also the Galaxy S24 series gets second January 2025 security patch and it is sign of delaying One UI 7 stable update. But For now, the Galaxy S24 is available in the One UI 7 beta phase. Users who want to experience the Android 15-based One UI 7 update can join the beta program.

  • Download the Samsung Members App > Create an account or login > Notice > Registration for One UI Beta Program.
  • Go to the setting > software update > Download and Install >

Before joining the beta program, users must have a backup for data and devices. And notably, the beta update program is currently available in India, China, Germany, Poland, South Korea, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America.
