Realme 14 Pro and 14 Pro Plus launched in India on January 16, 2025. It is the latest premium design model, which comes with the newly Android 15-based Realme UI 6.0 software module. Realme always prefers to have the best specifications and features for the users, but the company hasn’t made any improvements in Realme’s software update policy.
Realme 14 pro series Software Update
Realme 14 Pro and Realme 14 Pro Plus get only two years of software updates and three years of security patches. This software update policy does not in any way affect the longevity of other devices. While other competitors like OnePlus and Samsung now offer at least 3 or 4 years of software update policy or 4 or 5 years of security patches to their mid-range devices.
Software updates policy addresses to improve and strengthen their security process in the devices; also, updates need to install new features and new technology in the devices as well as to remove viruses, bugs, unwanted threads, known issues, and many vulnerabilities and unwanted files from the mobile.
However, despite having a low software update policy, its sales are much better. This series is the successor of the Realme 13 Pro series and the Realme 14 Pro, powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset, and the Realme 14 Pro Plus comes with the powerful Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset.
Apart from this, the Realme 14 Pro has received the update after a few days of launch. This update optimises camera stability, improves portrait 2x blur issues, and also fixes image quality issues. This update is identified by the RMX5056_15.0.0.540(EX01) firmware number.
