Samsung has rolled out a new software update for the Galaxy Watch 7 and Ultra. The latest update adds new kids features, including a school time feature and trusted contacts, and now it also allows parents to find their kids location. The brand new update for both of these watches is now spotted rolling out in the US. The features should be available in other regions as well in the coming days. The update can be recognized with build versions L305USQU1AXL7 and L315USQU1AXL7 for the Galaxy Watch 7 (40mm) and (44mm), respectively. On the flip side, Galaxy Watch Ultra users can identify it with build version L705USQU1AXL7 (47 mm).

- Pair your watch using the Wearable app on your Samsung phone > Select Start setup for a child to begin setting up the watch for a child. Follow the tutorial to complete the setup process. Once you complete the setup process, your children can make calls and send messages directly from the watch without a phone connection and you can utilize the parental control features below.
- Find location: Know where your kid is with Find location.
- Trusted contacts: Keep a close eye on your kid’s interaction with a watch that lets you manage their contacts.
- School time: Keep their attention where it needs to be. No distractions during School Time.
Further, this new kids features update is currently available on Verizon, T-Mobile, and AT&T networks in the US. According to the changelog, these features are designed to help kids learn how to be independent while giving parents peace of mind.
