Nothing has started delivering a new firmware update to the CMF Phone 1. The brand-new update brought a new security feature and a host of improvements along with February 2025 Android security patches.
The update adds a new power-off verify feature, which allows you to set a power-off password to prevent immediate power-off. If your phone is lost and anyone wants to power it off, the device will need a verification password before power off.
Apart from this, the update Optimised design of pop-up view and enhanced system stability and performance in some scenarios. However, the latest February 2025 Android security patches include fixes for various security issues to improve the overall security of the devices.
The update is being distributed with build version V3.0-250208-2015 for the CMF Phone 1. The update is rolled out globally, but the update rolled out in batches, so it may take some time to be available on every model. This update is rolling out on CMF Phone 1 units that are running on Nothing OS 3, which was released a few months ago for this phone.
