Indian users of the Galaxy A55 and A53 smartphones can now install the latest security patch. A few days ago, the Galaxy A53 had already received this update in Europe, and the Galaxy A55 is getting the January 2025 update for the first time in any region.

Galaxy A55 and A53 January 2025 update
The update is pushed with new firmware version A556EXXS6AYA5 for the Galaxy A55. The update for A55 comes in a download package size of 270.41 MB. On the flip side, the Galaxy A53 units are receiving it with firmware version A536EXXSDEXLA, and the download package size for the update is 273.96 MB.
One UI 7 status for Galaxy A55 and A53
Both units are also eligible for the highly awaited One UI 7 upgrade, but the Korean tech giant is getting very late this year to provide the latest major upgrade to its Galaxy devices. As of today, only the Galaxy S25 series is running on stable One UI 7, while the Galaxy S24 units are running on the beta version of One UI 7.
But we can hope that the next month comes with some great news of One UI 7 rollouts for older Galaxy models. Users are waiting for a long time to experience it, and the update rollout has still not started for the A-series Galaxy devices.
