Samsung launched the Galaxy S21 FE with two chipset variants, which are running on Exynos and Snapdragon. The Exynos variant has already enrolled in the January 2025 security patch. Moving on to the Snapdragon chipset, the Galaxy S21 FE receives the January 2025 security patch in the United States. The update comes with the G990U2SQSCGXL4 build number based on One UI 6.1.

However, this update addresses the locked variant on the Verizon network in the US, and it will soon be available for unlocked models. The update does not bring major improvements to the devices, but it secures the system and boosts the performance of the device and application.
Additionally, it fixes many bugs, unknown threads, unwanted issues, and vulnerabilities that cause bad impact to the performing system. The update also resolves over 50 security issues and optimizes the software system to enhance the productivity of the smoothness, stability, and security.
Apart from this, Samsung also fixes 22 additional security issues, which improves the functions like the sound picker, Samsung message, notification manager, and protection mechanism failure in the bootloader. Overall, this update focuses on improving the system to operate well.
Besides it, the Galaxy S21 FE received the January 2025 security update with G990USQSEGXL4, which is having many small packages to fix the systems and application problems.
