Xiaomi has listed some Redmi and POCO devices that will no longer receive official HyperOS and Android updates, including security patches. This is a regular change in the life of the Xiaomi smartphone lineup. After the completion of the lifespan of some Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO models, the Chinese company officially updates its EOL (end of life) list.

The OEM is known to distribute HyperOS updates to a wide range of smartphones. Also, it has a different strategy for each model like Redmi and POCO. As you know, Redmi and POCO smartphones are eligible for two or three major OS upgrades as well as four years of security patches. After this, the company puts them on the EOL (End of Life) list.

Currently, the Chinese OEM has stopped HyperOS and Android updates, including security patch support, for some Redmi and POCO devices. The below-mentioned models will no longer receive any major software upgrades, monthly security patch rollouts, or simple fix patches. Check out these Redmi and POCO phones below:

Redmi Devices

  • Redmi Note 11 SE
  • Redmi Note 11S 5G
  • Redmi Note 11S
  • Redmi Note 11
  • Redmi Note 11 5G
  • Redmi 10C
  • Redmi 10 2022

POCO Devices

  • POCO M4 Pro
  • POCO X4 Pro 5G

Despite the software update ending, these phones continue to function normally and remain safe to use with compatibility for common applications such as banking apps on the latest Android. Instead, the phones will continue to receive Google Play system updates, which ensure that critical security features remain up to date.

If you are using the Redmi and POCO devices mentioned above and are thinking of upgrading, you can check out the new Redmi and POCO devices. Although these handsets will still work fine, you will not be able to enjoy the new features.
