Recently, Nothing released a teaser of a new side button for its upcoming device, the Nothing Phone 3a. It is identified as a camera button, which is similar to the iPhone 16’s new camera button pattern. Nothing Phone 3a side camera button is located at the side frame of the device.
Nothing Phone 3a Side Camera Button
The button will likely be a dedicated camera button, which will enable users to quickly launch the camera app and capture photos or videos. The main purpose of this button is to give users quick access to the camera, allowing them to instantly capture photos or videos.
On the blog post of X, Nothing tuned with “Your second memory, One click away” means the button has access to quickly open the camera in one tap. It makes the photography experience more intuitive and quick.
However, all detailed information about this button will be clear only after the official launch of the phone. And the device is going to launch on March 4, 2025. As we know, Apple was the first company, which included the camera button with the iPhone 16 launch.

Samsung Camera Button
However, Samsung’s latest device, the Galaxy S25 series, does not have a side camera button, but you can quickly access the side button. To access this, you can set the double press function of the side button to launch the camera app. To activate this:
- Go to the setting
- Tap on advanced features
- Select the Side button
- Set the Open Camera
- Done
Apart from this, the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s S Pen does not have Bluetooth functionality, so you cannot use it as a remote camera shutter. Thus, the Galaxy S25 series does not include a dedicated side camera button, but you can quickly access the camera app by customizing the side button.
