The OnePlus 9 Pro has started getting a new software update in Indian regions. OnePlus has pushed the February 2025 Android security patches for the 9 Pro. These security patches address several security vulnerabilities to improve the overall security of the device.

The update is being distributed with firmware version LE2121_14.0.0.740(EX01). However, the brand-new update does not bring new functionalities or features, but it is still important to install the latest software update, as sometimes the monthly update also includes critical fixes for the Android devices. The update availability is also expected in other counties soon.

To check the latest firmware update, OnePlus users can head to Settings » About Device » OxygenOS Version Tab » Update and Install.
The OnePlus 9 Pro is not eligible for the highly awaited OxygenOS 15. It already received all its major upgrades, including Android 12, 13, and 14, respectively. And now the device is only eligible for the security and improvement updates.
Moreover, it was unveiled in 2020 with Android 11-based OxygenOS 11. It comes with a powerful Snapdragon 888 5G SoC. In the camera segment, the OnePlus 9 Pro features a triple rear camera on the back side, while on the front it sports an 8MP selfie shooter.
